Are College Admissions Rates Important?

Some big name colleges have stopped providing admissions acceptance data. Why?


Because acceptance rates DON'T provide a student with an indication of how they will perform at a particular school. They only indicate how difficult it is to get into a school, resulting in the admission process turning into a contest.


Will limiting this type of information bring positive change to the overall higher education selection process?
