39% of college students feel very prepared for the workforce! 39%!
That’s a pretty low number considering the cost of an education.
And 88% of students plan to pursue ADDITIONAL education programs after finishing college, according to a survey by Wakefield Research!
I’m a big fan of higher education…BUT…experience in the form of internships is a critical component of making college students ready for the workforce.
The focus on experiential training – especially in the form of internships – should start at college orientation and continue throughout the college journey. Internships allow students to learn the valuable skills that employers are looking for including critical thinking, communication and teamwork.
Education with experience is the key!
