Student Debt: How Much Is Too Much?
Excited to be quoted in The Wall Street Journal for an article on student loans. I spend a lot of time educating families on the best ways to pay for college. It is important to understand the true cost of college and to try to determine the ROI of a degree before making financial decisions that can put a student and family deep into debt.
Here is an excerpt from the article: While it can be difficult for a 17-year-old to decide on a career, students should do their best to research plausible options and use those figures in calculations, Mr. Gibney says. "Most families underestimate the time it will take a student to land a job, and they overestimate how much the student will make as a starting salary."
